The sculptures in the ancestor series reflect my interest in creating household figures related in function to Hestia, the Greek domestic Goddess of the hearth, Vesta to the Romans. I see these figures, both female and male, placed in the home to recall to our minds the obligation we embody as the present generation to the generations that came before us and will follow us
